RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain inventory records of materials and supplies, including updating computer databases of inventories and ordering additional supplies as needed
- Packaging products for shipping, using machines such as shrink wrap machines, strapping tools, and forklift trucks
- Monitoring flow of materials into and out of storage areas, and updating inventory records accordingly
- Receiving deliveries of products from shipping companies and storing them until they can be processed by other workers
- Loading and unloading trucks with boxes or other shipping containers, using hand tools such as dollies and forklifts
