Warehouse Associate

Job Summary

Fairfield Client seeking a Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations with a primary focus on shipping documentation, order fulfillment (pick and pack), and safe operation of sit-down forklifts. This role ensures accurate processing of outbound shipments, efficient material handling, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Process and maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation using warehouse or shipping software
• Prepare bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping labels
• Pick, pack, and stage customer orders according to order specifications
• Operate sit-down forklifts safely to move, load, and unload materials
• Verify product quantities, item numbers, and condition before shipment
• Interface with carriers and coordinate outbound shipments as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow company procedures, safety policies, and OSHA standards

Secondary Duties

• Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment
• Communicate discrepancies or damaged goods to supervisors
• Support other warehouse tasks as assigned to meet operational needs

Required Qualifications

• Prior warehouse experience preferred
• Experience using shipping or warehouse management software
• Sit-down forklift experience (certification preferred or ability to obtain)
• Basic computer skills and data entry accuracy
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
• Comfortable operating forklifts and working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
