Forklift Operator

Job Summary

American Canyon Client is seeking an experienced Sit-Down Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of efficiently moving materials while meeting productivity and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials.
• Transport raw materials, finished goods, and pallets to designated locations.
• Accurately stage, stack, and organize inventory within the warehouse or production areas.
• Load and unload trucks, containers, and trailers as required.
• Follow all OSHA, company safety, and operational procedures at all times.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance or safety issues immediately.
• Maintain clean, orderly work areas to support a safe and efficient operation.
• Work closely with warehouse, shipping/receiving, and production teams to meet deadlines.
• Accurately complete paperwork, scan materials, or update inventory systems as required.
• Meet productivity goals in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid forklift certification (Sit-Down / Counterbalance).
• Minimum of 1 year of recent sit-down forklift experience preferred.
• Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
• Basic math and inventory skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced, high-volume warehouse or manufacturing setting.
• Exposure to moving machinery, forklifts, and palletized materials.
• May involve overtime, weekends, or varying shifts based on operational needs.
