Baler Operator
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Baler Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for operating industrial baling equipment to compress and prepare recyclable materials for shipment. The ideal candidate has experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, is mechanically inclined, and is committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Operate industrial balers to compact recyclable materials.
- Sort, inspect, and prepare recyclable materials for processing.
- Tie, label, weigh, and stage finished bales for shipment or storage.
- Monitor baler performance and report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Maintain accurate production and inventory records as required.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Work closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure efficient workflow.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing, recycling, or baler operating experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate industrial equipment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
- Ability to safely operate industrial machinery and material handling equipment.
