Machine Operator – Vault Department
Fairfield, CA | Full-Time
A well-established Fairfield company is seeking a Machine Operator to join their Vault Department. This position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating production equipment while maintaining strict quality, food safety, and sanitation standards.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset and willingness to identify and support opportunities to improve production processes are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and monitor production and packaging equipment.
- Promote a strong safety culture by following all safety procedures and encouraging safe work practices.
- Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Maintain quality standards and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Operate equipment efficiently while meeting company production standards.
- Monitor product weights, code dates, quantities, leak detection, and gable seal quality.
- Taste products prior to production runs to ensure proper, clean flavor and quality.
- Sanitize the filler every 30 minutes according to established procedures.
- Accurately document production run times, weights, downtime, product temperatures, and packaging materials used or discarded.
- Monitor equipment and production processes and communicate any issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and follow all hygiene requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts and help identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
