Job Full Description

Express Employment is seeking experienced Welders to help a local industrial fabrication company. 

Pay: $18-$22/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding Procedure Specification (WPS).
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions using various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.).
• Inspect and ensure welds meet quality standards and specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; technical training or certification in welding preferred.
• Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with structural steel or pressure vessel welding.
• Familiarity with AWS (American Welding Society) standards.
• Forklift or crane operation certification is a plus.
