Job Full Description
A well-established manufacturer of agricultural equipment is seeking an experienced Implement Paint Prep / Painter to join their team. This position is responsible for preparing and painting farm equipment components to ensure a high-quality finish that meets company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare metal surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding, masking, and inspecting parts.
- Apply coatings using HVLP spray guns and two-part polyurethane direct-to-metal coatings.
- Mix paints and coatings according to specifications.
- Ensure proper coverage, finish quality, and color consistency.
- Maintain painting equipment and keep work areas clean and organized.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in industrial, agricultural equipment, automotive, or manufacturing painting required.
- Experience using HVLP spray guns is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of two-part polyurethane or direct-to-metal coating systems.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as needed.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
