Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking experienced Welders for a manufacturing client in Fresno. We have openings on both day and night shifts for skilled welders who are looking for a long-term opportunity with a growing company.
Job Duties
- Perform GMAW (MIG) and spray arc welding on steel components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, shop drawings, and work instructions.
- Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
- Set up welding machines, fixtures, and workstations.
- Position, clamp, fit, and tack components prior to final welding.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
- Clean, grind, and prepare materials before and after welding.
- Perform thermal cutting, grinding, and other fabrication tasks as needed.
- Assemble components using bolts, rivets, and other fastening methods.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of MIG (GMAW) welding experience.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
- Spray arc welding experience is preferred.
- Robotic welding experience is a plus.
- Ability to accurately measure and fabricate parts to specification.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Reliable attendance and a strong safety mindset.
Schedule
Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Night Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Candidates selected for the night shift will complete 1–2 weeks of training on the day shift to learn products, processes, and quality standards before transitioning to nights.
Pay
$18.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience.
