Burbank, CA

Full Time Temp to hire.

Swing Shift - Monday thru Friday – 3pm to 11:30pm

$23hr to start.

 

Innovative manufacturer of highly engineered fluid and gas handling high pressure equipment designed to generate high pressures to store and control gases and liquids for a wide range of applications, is looking for Deburring Technician to join their team in Burbank.

 

Summary: The Deburr Tech sets-up and operates pneumatic and hand tools to polish metal surfaces on a variety of metal component parts.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety (QEH&S) policy and strategic direction of the organization.
  • Responsible for deburring, polishing, assemble, etches part numbers on machine and performs other various machine operations.
  • Sets up and controls operation of computerized deburring and tooling machine to perform series of machining operations, such as drilling, chamfering, and deburring, on ball-shaped plastic typing element for use in electric typewriters: Reads blueprints, job order, and tooling instructions to determine cutting tools and sequence of operations.
  • Positions and secures deburring and cutting tools onto holding fixtures of machine, using hand tools.
  • Adjusts and changes machine tools to ensure deburring meets company specifications.
  • Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled.
  • Works from blueprints and uses hand grinders and common hand tools to grind and polish a variety of parts to meet contour, size, and finish requirements.
  • Keeps workstation clean and orderly.
  • Verifies starting materials are adequate prior to beginning to work.
  • Responsible for quality of the finished product or services outlined above.
  • Move incoming/outgoing material within the department.
  • Follows all Company safety rules / JHA and safe work practices.
  • Maintains regular attendance and excellent punctuality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • 1-2+ years of experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical/Business School Certificate or other post high school training (2+ years’ duration) a plus.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read prints.
