Monday thru Friday – 9:15am to 6:15pm

A not-for -profit credit union is seeking Loan Resolutions specialists to join their team in Santa Clarita.
Summary: Seeking detail-oriented and motivated individuals to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding clients through the loan application process, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of financial services, including loan origination and underwriting.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mid-stage delinquency collection activities of consumer loans, negative shares, and home equity loans.
- Monitor queues daily to ensure each account scheduled is worked according to department procedures.
- Ensure appropriate demand letters are sent to members before repossession
- Prepare and submit paperless repossession files for voluntary vehicle surrenders
- Perform basic skip work on delinquent loans to establish contact with members and resolve delinquency
- Assign field chases on delinquent loans and documents results on the system
- Contact impound, storage facility, or repair shop for vehicle location, fees, files opposition of lien sales (if applicable), prepares and submit file for repossession (if applicable)
- Perform some data reconciliation, balancing, and research.
- Prepare forms, form letters, reports, and correspondence for collections purposes.
- Review requests for credit information and for corrections on credit files of members.
- Request adjustments to credit ratings due to incorrect reporting.
- Contribute ideas for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective operational procedures to maximize efficiency and quality of work to provide consistent quality service to members.
- Answer general and escalated questions from members and staff regarding loan payments and past-due notices.
- Prompted and maintained a positive image of the Banks to assigned personnel, members, and the community.
- Provide input to the manager for enhancing the department, employee department, employee development, quality of work, and service to members.
- Ensure adherence to compliance with standards set by all regulatory agencies and department policies.
- Responsible for keeping current on developments, litigation, and other areas that affect the collection process.
- Work within their team and have a direct impact on themselves and their direct processes.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in financial services or as a Loan Officer is preferred.
- Familiarity with underwriting processes and Fair Housing regulations is advantageous.
- Strong mathematical skills are essential for evaluating financial documents and calculations.
- Experience with loan origination processes is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for client interactions.
Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player in a fast-paced environment.
