Chemical Blender

Full time - Temp to hire
Monday thru Friday - 7am to 4pm
$20hr to $25hr depending on experience
A market leading chemical services company servicing many industries including, metal manufacturing/surface finishing, electronics/semi-conductor, food & beverage/nutritional, personal care, industrial and municipal/industrial water treatment is looking for a Chemical Blender to join their team at their Anaheim plant.
Summary: In the Chemical Blender position, you will ensure all open orders are prioritized and completed in a timely manner as determined by management. Support the Plant Manager to establish and improve the process, procedures and policies for blending products. Responsible to learn, understand, represent and contribute to company policies, procedures and philosophies, including completing all assigned training as required.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and start all packaging operations under their responsibility.
- Obtain and understand all documentation for packaging batches.
- Ensure correct packaging components are used with the appropriate chemical compound being packed and correct PPE is always being utilized.
- Pumping and gravity feeding chemicals into specific containers in predetermined quantities.
- Operates heavy equipment (Forklift; reach and sit down, pumps, hoses, valves, scales, etc.) safely.
- Monitor packaging material usage for each packaging job assigned to ensure they are done correctly with the correct weights.
- Ensure all materials are returned to inventory and have the right quantity, weights, and in good condition.
- Ensure all empty containers are placed in their respective area(s) (rinse if necessary).
- Follows instructions regarding batch packaging, labeling, weights, components, and any additional requirements.
- Maintain a clean work environment and cleans equipment when needed.
- Communicate with warehouse office when materials are ready to be put away.
- Complete all paperwork and batch ticket documentation in a timely manner.
- Observe safety requirements set forth by company.
- Communicate openly with upper management and report any issues.
- Adhere to all S.O.P.’s, Work Instructions, and Daily Checklists.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Knowledgeable in DOT/OSHA requirements for Hazardous Materials
- Able to work 6 hours or more per day wearing full HazMat PPE and Air Purifying Respirator.
- Self-Motivated, enthusiastic, very organized & dependable.
- Manufacturing and problem-solving skills are a requirement.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
