Material Handler
Burbank, CA
Full time – Temp to hire
Monday thru Friday – 3:15pm to 11:45pm
$23hr to $26hr depending on experience.
An innovative manufacturer of highly engineered fluid and gas handling high pressure equipment designed to generate high pressures to store and control gases and liquids for a wide range of applications, is looking for a Material Handler to join their team in Burbank.
Summary: Provide support for the Machine Shop and manufacturing facility. Material and Tube cutting is the primary source of responsibility. Responsible for setting up and operating material and tube cutting saws based on charts and blueprints. Responsible for inventory management for all raw materials used and stored in the machine shop.
Responsibilities:
- Put away and transact material for manufacturing work orders (for machine shop).
- Put away and transact material for inspection or receiving (raw material, tubing etc.)
- Pull raw material and cut per work order.
- Pull tubing and prepare for shipping (this includes pick/pack sales orders)
- Perform other duties as needed within the materials group.
- Set up material and tube cutting saws.
- Deburr parts after cutting.
- Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain around cutting saws and material storage racks.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a production and fast paced environment for 2 or more years.
- Knowledge of geometric math and utilizing measuring tools.
- Strong learning agility.
- Strong Attendance.
- Attention to Production and quality of workmanship.
