Full time – Temp to hire
Monday thru Friday – 6am to 2:30am
$85k to $110k a year depending on experience
Busy FAA Certified Engineering, Manufacturing and repair company specializing in hydraulic component maintenance for aviation OEM's and distributors worldwide is looking for an Engineer to join their team in Burbank.
Summary: Seeking an individual to assist in the documentation of equivalency of tools, equipment and materials used in the Repair/Overhaul of Hydraulic Aircraft Components. Applicants should be mechanically minded and able to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the VP QC and Engineering with tasks.
- Complete new drawings for tooling in CAD.
- Assist documentation for equivalency of tools.
- Identify solutions to help improve tooling to be more efficient, safer, and practical for technicians.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Experienced with AutoCAD and other CAD based program desired
- Interpersonal Skills - Focuses on the solution, not the problem; Remains open and objective to others' ideas and tries new things.
- Good sense of safety practices in the workplace. Can identify potential hazards.
- Engineering degree and experienced with AutoCAD. 3-5 years of relevant experience in MRO and Engineering.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
