Monday thru Friday - 6am to 2:30pm

A leading truck body manufacturer with over 50 years of history in the San Fernando Valley, with operations in Arizona and a new facility in Los Angeles, is seeking an individual to work as a Forklift/Yard worker in their Sun Valley location.

 

Summary: The Forklift/Yard Worker is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load, unload, and move products and materials within the yard and shop areas. This role plays a critical part in maintaining efficient production flow by organizing inventory, preparing materials for technicians, and ensuring a clean, safe work environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts and other equipment to move, stack, and stage materials safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload incoming deliveries and verify materials against shipping paperwork.
  • Organize and maintain the yard, inventory storage areas, and material staging zones.
  • Prepare and deliver parts, components, and materials to production workstations as needed.
  • Assist with receiving, counting, and labeling incoming inventory.
  • Perform regular inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts and yard equipment.
  • Follow all company safety protocols, including proper PPE usage and equipment operation standards.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, production, and shipping teams to maintain smooth operations.
  • Keep yard and work areas clean and free of hazards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift certification preferred (company will provide training if needed).
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, yard, or material handling environment preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Basic communication and organizational skills.
