We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our Burbank team.
Summary: The Customer Service Representative is a key contributor to both customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. This role manages front-desk interactions, processes estimates and sales orders with accuracy, and provides informed technical guidance on waterproofing products and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of waterproofing systems, standards, and product offerings.
- Review and interpret safety data sheets to provide accurate technical information.
- Follow established procedures to ensure data accuracy and compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
- Handle a high volume of customer communications, including phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries.
- Provide technical support and product guidance based on manufacturer recommendations and technical data.
- Educate customers about product promotions, new offerings, and industry trends.
- Address customer complaints professionally, identify solutions, and ensure timely resolution.
- Communicate order status updates and material availability to customers and sales team members.
- Recommend complementary tools, accessories, and system components to drive product upselling.
- Promote surplus, expired, or soon-to-expire inventory to support sales goals and efficient stock management.
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service experience preferred; experience in construction, building materials, or technical product support is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to interpret technical documents, including safety data sheets and product specifications.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with basic computer applications and order-processing systems.
