Ordnance Assembler
Pay: $20–$25/hour
We are seeking a detail-oriented Ordnance Assembler to support the manufacturing and assembly of precision ordnance devices in a production environment. This role involves mechanical and electronic assembly, including precision soldering work under magnification, while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Perform mechanical and electronic assembly of ordnance components

Perform precision soldering under a microscope (required)

Operate assembly equipment under supervision

Weigh and press pyrotechnic powders in accordance with safety guidelines
-
Conduct self-inspections to ensure quality and compliance with specifications

Meet established production standards, schedules, and quality metrics (including production and scrap targets)

Accurately report production run times and quantities
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
-
Promptly communicate production issues, out-of-tolerance parts, or equipment concerns to leadership

Follow all company, customer, and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Hands-on experience soldering under a microscope (required)

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and production travelers

Experience using standard measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.)

Minimum one year of manufacturing experience preferred

Basic math skills (percentages, measurements, weight, and volume calculations)

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
-
Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, chemicals, noise, and explosive materials

Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
-
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods (majority of shift)

Lift up to 20 lbs
-
Ability to work with microscopes and pass a color vision test
-
20/20 vision (corrected acceptable) and adequate hearing required
