A dynamic and fast-growing sales and service organization located in Valencia, CA, is looking for an experienced Human Resource Generalist to join our team. This is an on-site position offering a competitive salary between $70,000 and $75,000 per year. You will oversee HR and recruiting for a team of 100 employees across multiple branches in California.

Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the full hiring cycle from posting job openings and reviewing resumes to conducting interviews and facilitating a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
- HRIS Management (Paylocity): Administer employee records, process new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and handle benefits administration using Paylocity.
- Employee Relations: Act as a trusted resource for employees and management on all HR matters. Handle employee relations issues with professionalism, sensitivity, and confidentiality.
- Performance Management: Track and monitor annual review schedules. Ensure managers submit timely employee reviews, and that raises are accurately reflected in payroll.
- Progressive Discipline: Provide guidance on progressive discipline, up to and including termination, while maintaining a fair, supportive, and legally compliant approach.
- Compliance Reporting: Oversee mandatory reports, including OSHA, EEO, Workers Comp, and Multiple Worksite Reports. Ensure timely, accurate submissions.
- Benefits Administration: Serve as the primary liaison for benefits renewal, working closely with the insurance broker and provider to ensure smooth enrollment and communication with employees.
- Communication: Manage the monthly employee newsletter (using Canva) and send company-wide emails regarding important updates.
- Payroll Support: Assist with timecard reviews and ensure accuracy before submission to the Payroll Manager.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 7-15 years of HR generalist experience, ideally in a small to mid-sized business environment.
- HR Knowledge: Strong understanding of state and federal employment laws and HR compliance.
- HRIS Expertise: Familiarity with HRIS platforms (Paylocity preferred).
- Payroll Exposure: Basic knowledge of payroll processes, including timecards and final paycheck calculations.
- Employee Relations: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage sensitive employee relations matters.
- Recruiting Skills: Solid experience in recruiting, from job posting and resume review to candidate evaluation and interviewing.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR-related software; experience with graphic design tools like Canva is a plus.
- Independent Worker: Comfortable working autonomously and managing multiple tasks while collaborating with a close-knit team.
