Tool Grinder needed for Aerospace Company! Must have at least 6 months of recent experience. Call or text Salina at 661-775-2570
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual and/or CNC grinding machines (surface, cylindrical, and tool & cutter grinders).
- Grind and sharpen cutting tools such as drills, end mills, reamers, and other custom tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings to determine specifications.
- Measure finished workpieces using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure accuracy and conformity.
- Select appropriate wheels and abrasives for specific jobs.
- Perform routine maintenance on grinding equipment and ensure safe working conditions.
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Maintain clean and organized work area and comply with all safety and quality policies.
Qualifications:
- Experience in tool grinding or a similar machining environment.
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and interpreting tolerances.
- Familiarity with CNC grinding machines (a plus but not required).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
