LAB TECHNICIAN NEEDED FOR A LONG TERM CONTACT POSTIION

General Job Duties:
- Responsible for weighing, pipetting, and preparing dilutions.
- Perform basic electrochemistry measurements using company instrumentation.
- Manage testing and storage pull schedules.
- Document, transcribe, compile, review, and report data.
- Conduct analytical method validations in accordance with validation protocols.
- Collaborate in evaluation, writing, and reviewing of validation protocols and reports.
- Conduct instrumentation performance checks and manage preventive maintenance schedules.
- Conduct testing in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
- Order labs supplies and maintain consumables and reagents inventory.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of laboratory data.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
- Clean and maintain lab workspace and facilities, daily.
Requirements:
- Minimum education (or substitute experience) required: Associate’s Degree in sciences and/or equivalent laboratory experience with preference in analytical and/or wet chemistry.
- Minimum experience required: At least one year’s lab experience (internal company and/or academic experience accepted).
Experience in the following areas:
- Experience in handling standard laboratory equipment such as pipettors, balances, mixers, and ovens.
- Experience working with airflow containment apparatus such as chemical hoods.
- Experience with working with lab instrumentation and/or testing analytical methods.
- Elementary understanding of electrochemistry.
- Administration skills, including managing a master calendar, multi-tasking, and writing and completing accurate data reports.
- Must have excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, manual dexterity, and steady hands.
- As safety is a priority, the lab technician must be safety-oriented, neat, and clean.
- Must possess sound judgment and decision-making ability.
- Although this position reports to the supervisor, much of the work will be unsupervised and the incumbent will be responsible for assigned work.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office: MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
