Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee operations for our client that manufactures dietary supplements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production teams, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and optimizing production processes. This role is crucial in maintaining compliance with CGMP and HACCP regulations while fostering a productive work environment.
Duties
- Develops a cross-training plan that builds flexibility and the skills necessary to achieve department goals and KPIs.Executes production plan while aligning teams’ goals and KPIs to meet this plan.
- Develop and mentor associates to ensure the team’s KPIs are met in safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
- Leads and participates in root cause problem-solving activities when KPIs are not met to drive sustained improvement.
- Coaches and develops team on continuous improvement, kaizen, and autonomous maintenance projects.
- Proactively works cross-functionally with other departments when issues arise that prevent the department from achieving goals.
Experience
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the food industry is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with food processing techniques, including packaging and fabrication processes.
- Develops a cross-training plan that builds flexibility and the skills necessary to achieve department goals and KPIs.
- Strong understanding of HACCP principles and CGMP regulations.
- Proven ability to lead teams effectively while promoting a culture of safety and quality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members at all levels.
- Basic math proficiency is essential for managing production data accurately.
Schedule: Monday - Fruiday 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm
