We are seeking a skilled Tool Grinder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating and programming CNC tool grinding equipment, particularly Walter and Star CNC machines. You will be responsible for producing, modifying, and sharpening precision cutting tools to meet exacting specifications.
This position requires initial training on the day shift, followed by a permanent placement on 2nd shift 3pm-11pm.
Key Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, and program CNC tool grinding machines (Walter, Star) to grind and recondition precision tools.
- Running 2-3 machines at a time.

Manufacture and modify cutting tools including end mills, drills, and form tools to required tolerances.

Inspect and measure tools using precision inspection equipment (micrometers, comparators, gauges).

Interpret and work from blueprints, CAD files, and technical specifications.
- Editing programs as needed while on the machine.

Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments as necessary.

Maintain tooling inventory and keep accurate production records.

Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area.

Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to improve tool designs and manufacturing processes.
This position requires demonstrated, hands-on experience in tool grinding, along with the ability to communicate effectively in English. Candidates must be able to read, write, and understand technical documentation in English to perform job duties accurately and safely.
