Responsibilities
- Manages change across supply chain and identifies solutions through simplification and standardization of processes.
- The ability to identify risks and mitigates them through implementation of emerging technologies and process improvements.
- Strong engineering fundamentals and familiarity with Design of Experiment (DOE) and statistical data analysis.
- Problem Solving: Lead problem solving sessions using (A3) lean manufacturing methodology.
- Consumer Complaints: The ability to investigate and find root cause for the assigned consumer complaint.
- Provide support to operations by assisting troubleshooting and leading process optimization projects.
- Create/update Bill of Operations (BOO) for new qualified formulas.
- Build and maintain networks across multiple industries to identify emerging technologies and applications to supply chain.
- Define critical process parameters for new equipment design and execute IOQ/PQ for new equipment or process.
- The ability to review concepts for commercial feasibility and make recommendations on capitol, as well as identify risks and path forward related to assign projects.
- Collaborate and leads key business partners (R&D, Operations, Engineering) through Technology Transfer process to ensure a reliable product through its life cycle.
- Review and manage trends related to consumer complaints and identifying root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- The ability to lead/assist in packaging component qualifications/Component optimization.
- Management of all packaging deviations and change request.
- Lead FAT’s (Factory Acceptance Test) for all new packaging and production equipment, creating/revising WI (work Instructions) and providing training.
- Be readily available to perform quick and timely adjustments to optimize production and packaging process.
- Lead all pilot and first-time packaging runs. Is responsible for ensuring any changes are within scope of the project and communicated back to appropriate departments.
- Closely work with Tech Ops Manager/Packaging Engineer for analysis and process improvements.
- Safety Follow laboratory safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
- Additional Duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, food science, or a related field.
- Obtain Lean Green Belt Certification within one year of employment.
- 7+ years’ experience in engineering, process development, quality or related field, preferably in the pharmaceutical, dietary supplement, or food industry.
