Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator for a manufacturing shop environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up and operating press brake machinery, reading blueprints, and producing accurate, high-quality metal components. Candidates must be bilingual in English and Spanish and have at least 1 year of recent related experience to be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal and other materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, travelers, and work instructions.
- Select and install the proper tooling, dies, and punches for each job.
- Adjust machine settings, including tonnage, bend angle, back gauge, and stroke.
- Measure finished parts using calipers, micrometers, angle gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Inspect parts to ensure they meet dimensional and quality specifications.
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections.
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain accuracy.
- Perform tooling changes and machine setups.
- Follow production schedules and meet required deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing shop environment.
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshoot common operating issues.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of recent related Press Brake experience required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a MUST.
- Hands-on experience setting up and operating press brake equipment.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring tools and inspection techniques.
- Experience working with different types and thicknesses of sheet metal.
- Ability to perform tooling changes and machine adjustments.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing shop environment.
- Manufacturing or aerospace experience is a plus.
