Job Summary:
A reputable company in the Marysville area is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Temporary Weighmaster. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately weighing vehicles, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with weight regulations. This is a temporary position ideal for someone looking for short-term work with the potential for future opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Weighing Vehicles: Accurately weigh customers in and out using the weighbridge scales.
- Customer Service: Provide clear directions to customers and inquire about their load to ensure proper material coding.
- Transaction Documentation: Maintain detailed records of each customer transaction, including weight tickets.
- Payment Handling: Accept and process payments, including cash, checks, and credit cards.
- Cash Drawer Management: Balance the cash drawer at the end of each day, ensuring all transactions are accounted for.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a Weighmaster or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer skills for data entry and record management.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy in data entry and follow established procedures.
- Customer Service: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing excellent service.
- Financial Handling: Comfort and accuracy in handling cash, checks, and card transactions.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform light physical tasks, such as standing for extended periods.
- License: A valid driver’s license is required.
