Administrative Assistant / Payroll Clerk (Plumas Lake)
Overview:
Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a company in Plumas Lake seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant / Payroll Clerk. This dual-role position will provide clerical support while ensuring accurate and timely payroll for all employees. The ideal candidate is reliable, discreet, and experienced in payroll systems and office administration. Hours of operation are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties:

Provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing, and copying.

Answer and direct phone calls; greet visitors and manage front desk operations.

Maintain electronic and physical filing systems.

Prepare correspondence, reports, and documents as needed.

Assist with data entry and recordkeeping.
Payroll Duties:

Work with third-party payroll services to process weekly/bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time.

Maintain employee records related to timekeeping, attendance, and pay.

Review and verify timesheets, attendance records, and other payroll documents.

Handle payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and benefit deductions.
Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in payroll processing and administrative support preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, UKG) is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
Compensation:
$20–$25/hour, depending on experience.
