Office / Accounting Assistant – Temporary Position
Colusa Area | Temporary / Short-Term -DEC 1st | $20/hr
Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for an Office / Accounting Assistant to support a local organization’s administrative and accounting operations. This temporary role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who can jump in quickly and help keep daily operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Daily:

Manage emails and sort incoming mail

Organize invoices by due dates and match to purchase orders

Prepare and update daily balance sheets
-
Process accounts payable/receivable (AP/AR)
Weekly:
Biweekly:

Calculate and process payroll
-
Track sick leave and vacation time
-
Submit bills for approval and process wage withholding orders
-
Review company card transactions and attach receipts
Monthly / As Needed:
-
Issue scheduled payments
-
Process grower/customer payments and create related invoices
-
Coordinate orders and verify sales commission invoices
-
Maintain spreadsheets and supporting documentation
-
Copy, file, and issue purchase orders as needed
Qualifications
-
Experience in administrative or accounting support roles

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting software (e.g., Excel, QuickBooks)

Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in agriculture, logistics, or related industries
