Job Title: Parts Counterperson / Sales Associate
Location: Colusa, CA
Pay: Starting at $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Seasonal hours (March–October): 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with half-day Saturdays during harvest season
Employment Type: Permanent / Evaluation-to-Hire
Job Summary
Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a locally owned agricultural equipment company in Colusa to hire a Parts Counterperson / Sales Associate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with customers, has strong mechanical aptitude, and takes pride in delivering outstanding service to the farming and equipment community.
In this role, the Parts Counterperson will assist customers in identifying and purchasing parts for agricultural equipment, manage inventory, and support both the service and sales departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities

Greet customers in person and over the phone in a professional and friendly manner

Identify, locate, and sell parts for agricultural equipment and machinery

Accurately process orders, returns, and special part requests

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked parts counter and warehouse

Receive, inspect, and properly shelve incoming parts shipments

Communicate with vendors and service technicians to confirm part availability

Ensure accuracy in inventory tracking and recordkeeping

Provide knowledgeable recommendations and excellent customer support

Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications
-
Previous parts counter or sales experience required (automotive, diesel, or agricultural equipment preferred)

Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to read parts diagrams or manuals

Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills

Proficiency with computer-based inventory and POS systems

Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Willingness to work seasonal overtime or half-day Saturdays during harvest season (March–October)
