Job Title: Welder / Fabricator
Location: Colusa, CA
Pay: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Seasonal hours (March–October): 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional half-day Saturdays during harvest season
Employment Type: Permanent / Evaluation-to-Hire
Job Summary
Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a locally owned agricultural equipment company in Colusa to hire an experienced Welder / Fabricator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable team that builds, services, and repairs agricultural machinery and implements for the local farming community.
The Welder / Fabricator will be responsible for fabricating, repairing, and modifying metal components and equipment, ensuring high-quality workmanship, strength, and durability in all projects.
Key Responsibilities

Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on mild steel and other metals

Fabricate new parts, assemblies, and frames from blueprints and technical drawings

Repair and modify agricultural equipment, trailers, and custom implements

Operate fabrication tools such as grinders, plasma cutters, shears, and brakes

Measure, cut, and fit materials to ensure proper alignment and accurate assembly

Inspect completed welds for quality and adherence to specifications

Follow all safety protocols and properly use PPE at all times

Assist with general shop duties, maintenance, or assembly as needed
Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of welding and fabrication experience required

Strong working knowledge of MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings

Experience with agricultural or heavy equipment preferred

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a hands-on shop environment

Dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team
Compensation & Benefits

Hourly pay ranging from $18.00 to $23.00, depending on experience
