Position Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the HR department across a variety of functions, including onboarding, recruitment, employee records management, and offboarding processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with company policies, maintaining accurate HR documentation, and delivering a positive employee experience. The HR Coordinator also leads the planning and execution of employee engagement and morale initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

Onboarding & Employee Experience

  • Prepare new hire paperwork and assist with onboarding processes
  • Support and facilitate new employee orientations to ensure a smooth transition
  • Promote a positive employee experience through effective communication and support

Recruitment Support

  • Post job openings across various platforms
  • Screen candidates via phone and coordinate interview scheduling
  • Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process

Offboarding & HR Administration

  • Assist in preparing termination paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and personnel files
  • Enter and update employee data in HRIS systems
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, mailing, and document preparation

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Plan, organize, and lead employee morale and engagement events
  • Track employee anniversaries and coordinate recognition efforts

General HR Support

  • Respond to employee inquiries and direct them to appropriate resources
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information
  • Support special projects and additional HR initiatives as assigned

Qualifications

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and occasionally high-pressure environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of administrative support experience, preferably in Human Resources
  • Experience with HR functions such as recruiting, onboarding, HRIS, or employee records preferred
  • Internship or prior HR experience is a plus

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer (7–8 hours per day)
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Intermittent walking, bending, and movement throughout the day
  • Work is performed in a standard office environment with moderate noise levels
