Local Financial Advisor group has immediate opening for a Financial Services Assistant to assist clients and support the financial advisors.
Candidates should be looking for a long-term home in a finance/banking environment where they can grow their knowledge and experience. The Financial Services Assistant is the first point of contact for both walk in and phone-based clientele, and we are hiring for a personality that makes customers feel special. Professional communication skills as well as strong organizational skills are critical.
Job duties:
- Answering phones
- Setting appointments for the Advisors
- Managing schedules
- Sending/receiving emails
- Filing/Faxing/Scanning documents
- Data entry of client information into a CRM system
- Other special tasks as assigned by supervisor
Must haves:
- 2+ years’ experience working in retail banking or similar financial environment
- Backgrounds in retail banking or finance are necessary
- Understanding of basic financial terminology (401k, Roth IRA, SEP, Equity, etc)
- Friendly/outgoing personality
- Professional phone voice
- Great written communication skills
- Professional presentation - business attire required
- HS Diploma or GED required, Associate or Bachelor in Finance or related field highly preferred but not required
- Good computer skills with Word/Excel and accurate typing > 40wpm
