A&P/IA Aircraft Mechanic – Day Shift – $40–$60/hr
A well-established aviation maintenance company in Gainesville, Florida, is seeking an experienced A&P Mechanic with a current FAA Inspection Authorization to join its maintenance team.

Pay: $40–$60 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must have:

A current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate

A current FAA Inspection Authorization
-
At least five years of general-aviation maintenance experience preferred
-
Strong aircraft inspection, troubleshooting and repair experience
-
Knowledge of FAA maintenance regulations and documentation requirements
-
Experience completing accurate maintenance records and logbook entries
-
The ability to independently evaluate airworthiness and approve aircraft for return to service
An RII designation, military inspection experience, quality-control title or previous inspector position does not replace the requirement for an active FAA Inspection Authorization.
Primary Responsibilities
-
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on general-aviation and corporate aircraft
-
Conduct annual, 100-hour, phase and progressive inspections
-
Diagnose and repair airframe, engine, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical issues
-
Review aircraft discrepancies and make airworthiness determinations
-
Complete FAA-compliant maintenance records and logbook entries
-
Review and approve major repairs and alterations when authorized
-
Sign off completed inspections and approve aircraft for return to service
-
Interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives and technical documentation
-
Coordinate with maintenance leadership, technicians, customers and other departments
-
Maintain a clean, safe and highly organized work area
-
Follow established maintenance procedures, quality standards and safety requirements
