- Pay: $18 per hour
Requirements
- Medical Assistant diploma required
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Assistant experience
- Pediatric experience strongly preferred
- Current hands-on BLS certification
- Current TB test
- Reliable, professional, and able to problem-solve
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure they are stocked with pediatric supplies
- Welcome patients and families, verify demographics, and obtain medical histories
- Measure and record vital signs, including height, weight, head circumference (for infants), temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during pediatric examinations and procedures
- Administer immunizations, medications, and injections as directed and within scope of practice
- Perform point-of-care testing, such as rapid strep, influenza, COVID-19, RSV, glucose, hemoglobin, and urine testing
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and perform phlebotomy when required
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)

- Understanding of infection prevention and OSHA/HIPAA compliance
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
