Nurse Practitioner (NP/APRN) – Primary Care
Location: Daytona Beach, FL

Express Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP/APRN) for a full-time opportunity with a primary care clinic in Daytona Beach, Florida.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner, or experienced Primary Care Nurse Practitioner who enjoys providing comprehensive outpatient care and working collaboratively with a healthcare team.
Job Responsibilities

Obtain complete medical histories from patients and perform comprehensive and focused physical examinations appropriate to the patient population.

Conduct and document comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations based on age and diagnosis, including psychological status.

Organize and present historical and physical data, evaluations, and recommendations to the healthcare team to clearly identify medical problems and determine appropriate diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.

Synthesize patient data and utilize evidence-based practices to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient plans of care.

Order and interpret laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic studies and results as appropriate.

Demonstrate proficiency in technical and procedural skills appropriate to specialty and training.

Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as indicated.

Provide follow-up and health maintenance care to patients based on accepted standards of care and best practices.

Educate and counsel patients regarding health promotion, disease prevention, and health maintenance.

Provide appropriate management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding current care and preventive health measures.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, workshops, seminars, and other activities designed to improve clinical and system performance.

Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patient contacts, including in-person, virtual, and telephone encounters.

Collaborate on research projects and clinical protocols and consistently apply evidence-based best practices to patient care.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements

Current, unrestricted Florida Nurse Practitioner (NP/APRN) license.

Board Certification in Family Practice or Adult/Geriatric Primary Care.

Master’s degree or higher in nursing with completion of an accredited Advanced Practice Nursing education program.

Graduate education and Florida Board of Nursing authorization must be consistent with the clinical practice area and patient population.

At least 1 year of post-clinical experience with strong patient assessment skills.

Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.

Experience working with patients in an outpatient or primary care setting.

Ability to exercise considerable clinical judgment and maintain accuracy in patient care and documentation.

Ability to maintain current customer service, clinical, and technical skills.

Ability to identify opportunities and provide suggestions for improvements in departmental policies, procedures, and protocols.

Proficiency using Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) in the delivery and documentation of patient care.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Must comply with applicable CMS COVID-19 vaccination requirements or qualify for an approved exemption.
