Job Full Description
Express Employment is seeking a late stage counselor/loss mitigation specialist for a company that provides funding for affordable housing. Job duties include:
- Working directly with borrowers who have a home loan through the company and are past due on their payment
- Initiating outbound and receiving inbound calls from borrowers and providing them with financial education, counseling, and available resolution options based on their loan status to avoid mortgage delinquency
- Following up with the borrowers on returned payments
- Performing late stage collections on accounts
- Goal is to keep borrowers in their home, so utilizing any loss mitigation and collection techniques possible to achieve the goal
Requirements:
- At least 1-3 years of experience in loan servicing or collections
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
- Ability to take initiative with sense of urgency
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with a high attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
Other details:
- Pay rate is $22/hr.
- Schedule is Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
- Position is long-term with the possibility of getting hired permanently based on company’s hiring needs, job performance, and attendance
