Job Full Description
Express Employment is seeking a loan modification assistant for a company that funds affordable housing. Job duties include:
- Preparing, processing, and executing mortgage loan modifications, partial claims, and deferments in accordance with investor, agency, and state-specific guidelines
- Ensuring accurate documentation, compliance with regulatory requirements, and timely reporting while collaborating with legal counsel, title companies, and internal departments to support homeowners in achieving sustainable retention solutions
- Providing administrative and clerical support to the Loan Servicing department, ensuring the accurate processing, tracking, and organization of loan modification documents
- Assisting with customer service inquiries, managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, and supporting the modification team to facilitate efficient and timely workflow in support of homeowner retention effort
- Processing daily incoming returned documents
- Reviewing incoming documents for accuracy
- Organizing outgoing documents for both borrowers and other agencies
- Filing and monitoring documents, both incoming/outgoing
- Tracking required insurance product, ensuring receipt from title companies
Requirements:
- Thorough understanding of modification process according to State guidelines
- 1+ year of experience in mortgage industry, residential real estate lending, residential loan processing, loan closing, and/or loan servicing
Other details:
- Schedule is Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm
- Pay rate is $18/hr.
- Position is long-term temporary role with possibility of temp to hire based on company’s hiring needs, performance, and attendance
