Job Full Description
Express Employment is seeking a payroll administrator for a specialty contractor. Job duties include:
- Accurately processing weekly payroll for ~500+ field workers
- Reviewing and submitting subsistence pay, sick-time, and additional allowances
- Maintaining union compliance along multiple crafts/trades
- Completing new hire onboarding, setup of profiles, and termination paperwork
- Processing weekly and monthly certified reports for applicable jobsites
- Aiding with worker inquiries by communicating with superintendents, union representatives, and corporate departments as needed
- Ordering and organizing seasonal and quarterly items for field crews
Requirements:
- 2+ years of payroll experience
- Any construction payroll experience is a plus
- 10-key by touch
- Dependable, strong work ethic, ability to multi-task
- Self-starter with time management skills
- Ability to adapt and learn ever-evolving processes, taxes, and laws
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, with Excel a must
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate well with all levels of employees within the company

- Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
- Pay rate is $22-26/hr. DOE
- Position is temp to hire
