Job Full Description
Express Employment is seeking a safety field administrator for a large industrial contractor. Job duties include:
- Utilizing strong computer skills to manage safety-related data, records, and reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in updating safety databases and generating necessary reports for management and regulatory agencies
- Conducting new-hire orientations, including speaking in front of groups
- Proactively communicating safety and loss control policies and procedures
- Assisting with substance abuse program
- Providing information for weekly safety meetings
- Providing on-site field support to employees and safety personnel
- Assisting the Safety team with hazard assessments in the field
- Assisting with accident/incident investigations, reporting, and recordkeeping
- Coordinating with, managing, and monitoring subcontractors’ safety on a project
- Assisting with trainings, such as respirator training, forklift operation, and fall protection
- Conducting audits of PTPs, equipment inspections, and permits
- Submitted forms to get materials approved for use on site
- Conducting weekly inventory of materials in use and in storage
- Tracking locations of material storage containers
- Maintaining proper signage on all material storage areas
- Ensuring current safety data sheets are maintained and located in proper areas
- Conducting worksite audits for proper material use, and ensuring all crews understand the SDS/hazards for materials they are using
- Assisting with new hire paperwork and training documentation
- Assisting with jobsite weekly requirements, including scanning in incident summaries, PTPs, field inspections, toolbox talks
- Assisting with field paperwork binders and file folders, ensuring the crews have necessary paperwork
- Assisting with safety audits and PPE inventory
Requirements:
- 2+ years of safety support or safety administration in the construction industry
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Must be able to work in cold and hot weather, lift and carry up to 40 pounds, regularly climb stairs and ladders, and stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in team environment
- Willingness to learn state and federal regulations as they apply to job site safety
- Willingness to continuously learn and improve safety knowledge and skills through training and development
- Strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Other details:
- Pay rate is up to $28/hr. DOE
- Schedule is 60-60-50, 5:45am-4:15pm
- Will need to get OSHA 30 before starting, and company is willing to reimburse training cost
