Job Title: Payroll Processor
Job Type: Full-Time | Contract
Pay: $20–$25/HR, DOE
Shift: Monday – Friday, Day Shift
Overview:
We’re currently hiring a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Processor to join a fast-paced, high-volume team. This role is ideal for someone with strong payroll knowledge, excellent multitasking ability, and comfort navigating multiple systems. The right candidate will be able to work efficiently under pressure and maintain accuracy across multiple payroll groups and schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process full-cycle payroll for up to 700 employees across multiple pay groups and schedules
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll and wage laws
• Validate and import timekeeping data; investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Administer benefit deductions, garnishments, and other withholdings
• Maintain accurate records for direct deposits, tax forms, and wage statements
• Collaborate with HR and Finance on employee records, compensation changes, and reporting
• Generate and distribute internal payroll reports and audit documentation
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, and deductions in a timely, professional manner
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in payroll processing (not limited to QuickBooks)
• Proficient in payroll software and systems; strong Excel skills required
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and perform under pressure
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Professional and effective communication skills
