Mill Laborer (Seasonal)
Location: Lewiston, ID
Pay: $21.75/HR
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6 AM to 2 PM
We are hiring hardworking Mill Laborers to support a fast-paced industrial facility. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, staying active, and working in an outdoor/industrial environment. You’ll play a key role in keeping operations running safely and efficiently by maintaining clean work areas and supporting production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean work areas by removing sawdust, wood pieces, and debris
- Use tools like brooms, shovels, and rakes for cleanup tasks
- Operate sweeper trucks and motorized equipment to move waste materials
- Monitor conveyors to ensure waste is moving properly
- Clean machines using air hoses and other tools
- Assist with log yard cleanup and operations
- Run machines as needed and train to become a relief operator
- Maintain clean work areas during downtime
- Work at a steady pace to meet production expectations
- Help with general labor duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong physical work history (construction, labor, warehouse, etc.)
- Comfortable working in a loud, dusty, and fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions
- Ability to follow directions and safety procedures
- Reliable with strong work ethic and attendance
- Previous mill, industrial, or labor experience is a plus (not required)
Physical Requirements
- Perform heavy physical labor for the full shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, and reaching
- Repetitive wrist and shoulder movement
- Standing and walking the entire shift
- Must have full range of motion
