Customer Service Representative | 8:30AM – 5:00PM | Mon-Fri | $19.00/hr
A locally owned, well-known insurance agency in Decatur, IL is looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Customer Service Representative. The person in this role, you will be the first point of contact for clients, assisting with policy inquiries, processing changes, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Responsibilities for Customer Service Representative
- Answer incoming calls and respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally
- Assist clients with policy changes, billing questions, and coverage details
- Introduce clients to all available insurance policy options with clear explanations
- Promote and sell a variety of insurance products
- Process documentation accurately and maintain client records
- Support agents with administrative tasks and follow-up communications
- Ensure that all medical and other necessary forms are filled out and filed
- Arrange a payment method with the insured
- Follow up on claims filed by clients
- Calculate premiums
- Provide exceptional customer service and build lasting client relationships
Qualifications for Customer Service Representative
- Previous customer service experience (insurance industry experience a plus)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn agency management systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
