Job Title: 2nd Shift Production Supervisor
Location: Belvidere, IL
Shift: 2nd Shift / DIRECT HIRE
Industry: Screw Manufacturing / Fastener Industry

Position Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on, experienced 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to join our team in a fast-paced screw manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for leading and coordinating all manufacturing operations during the 2nd shift, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and support all production employees on the 2nd shift.

Manage employee timekeeping, attendance, and performance records via HRIS and attendance systems.

Partner with HR on employee relations matters for the shift.

Solve manufacturing issues as they arise and drive continuous improvement.

Coordinate with other departments to ensure production deadlines and quality standards are met.

Plan, schedule, and assign work to align with production goals.

Monitor materials, products, and equipment to detect and resolve defects or malfunctions.

Oversee onboarding and training of new employees; track training progress.

Collaborate with the Quality team to ensure compliance with production and reporting standards.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications or a degree is a plus.

Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a metal manufacturing setting; fastener industry experience preferred.

At least 5 years of hands-on experience operating Header Machines.

Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to foster a productive team environment.

Proficient in both verbal and written communication.
