Administrative Assistant | $20.00-24.00/ hour | Monday through Friday | Sycamore, IL | Contract 

Position Overview
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support, ensuring the efficient operation of the office and facilitating communication across departments. This position requires professionalism, discretion, and the ability to manage a wide range of administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced and highly visible environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the calendar, schedule meetings, coordinate logistics, and ensure timely preparation of agendas and supporting materials.

  • Draft, edit, and distribute correspondence, reports, and presentations.

  • Maintain accurate records, files, and official documents in compliance with policies.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal departments and route inquiries and ensure timely follow-up.

  • Assist with research, data collection, and preparation of materials for meetings.

  • Coordinate with department heads and staff to track deadlines, monitor project progress, and support initiatives.

  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.


Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in business administration, public administration, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 1 year of administrative support experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); familiarity with records/document management systems preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare professional correspondence and reports.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
