Job Full Description
Seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder skilled in reading detailed drawings, performing precise measurements, and producing high-quality welds. Must demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, safety awareness, and dependable craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform accurate MIG welding on carbon steel.
• Review and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate components.
• Assemble parts and maintain quality throughout production.
• Safely operate cranes, forklifts, and material-handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized workspace.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
Qualifications
• Previous fabrication/welding experience in manufacturing or construction.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Skilled in MIG welding; familiar with plasma cutting.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and measurement skills (tape measure, calipers, angle finders).
• Understanding of ASME standards preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot fabrication issues.
• Knowledge of rigging and related safety practices preferred.
• Able to work independently or in a team.
• Must have own equipment: welding helmet, tape measure, gloves, angle finder, speed squares, eye protection.
• Must pass a blueprint reading and welding hands-on test.
