Production Supervisor| Direct Hire | $65,00 - $75,000 | Full Benefits Package
Our client, a well established manufacturing company in Dekalb, IL is looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team. The Company offers excellent benefits, longevity and a great company culture.
Production Manager Responsibilities:
- Assign work and actively lead departments and operators to achieve planned production objectives
- Understand and demonstrate operational knowledge of all equipment and their capabilities
- Ensure correct materials are used and produced to the correct specifications on each job
- Instruct operators and ensure machines are set-up correctly for each job
- Efficiently communicate with Material Handlers to ensure material is staged and ready before needed
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are implemented as directed
- Ensure all equipment is being utilized for proper order fulfillment and optimal shop floor efficiency
- Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Promptly communicate with Maintenance Manager when equipment requires service or repair
- Ensure safety policies and procedures are being met
- Understand operational metrics, machine rates, and speeds
- Understand and utilize Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles
- Perform employee reviews, coach, and mentor operators
- Understand and utilize ERP systems to manage the manufacturing process and ensure accurate recording of labor and material usage
Requirements:
- College degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience as a Production Supervisor
- Ability to multitask
- Basic math skills
- Strong communication skills
- Initiative, self-administration, and disciplined follow-up
- Strong leadership skills
Employment Package:
