Certified government-mandated Payroll Administrator
Location: Sycamore, Full-Time M-F 8am-5pm
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office & Payroll Administrator to manage daily office operations, payroll processing, and accounting support. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and experience handling payroll and financial tasks in a fast-paced environment.
MUST HAVE:
- Certified Payroll Experience
- Knowledge of LCP Tracker and IDOL (State-mandated systems for labor compliance and prevailing wage reporting)
Responsibilities
- Process weekly/biweekly payroll accurately
- Manage employee records, timesheets, and payroll compliance
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform basic accounting and bookkeeping duties
- Use QuickBooks for payroll, invoicing, and financial tracking
- Support onboarding paperwork and general office administration
- Assist with reports and vendor coordination
- Maintain compliance with prevailing wage and certified payroll requirements
Certified Payroll Experience Required
“Certified payroll experience” refers to working with government-mandated payroll reporting, typically on public works or government-funded construction projects.
What Certified Payroll Includes:
- Preparing payroll in required reporting formats (such as WH-347)
- Submitting weekly certified payroll reports
- Verifying accuracy and compliance of wage data
Typical Duties Include:
- Ensuring prevailing wage compliance
- Matching employees to proper job classifications
- Tracking regular and overtime hours
- Recording pay rates, deductions, and fringe benefits
- Maintaining documentation for audits
- Responding to compliance audits and correcting discrepancies
Required Software Knowledge
- LCP Tracker (Labor Compliance Program tracking)
- IDOL reporting system
- QuickBooks (Required)
- Microsoft Office (Excel proficiency strongly preferred)
Qualifications
- 3+ years of office administration and payroll experience
- Certified payroll experience required
- QuickBooks experience required
- Knowledge of AP/AR and accounting practices
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines
