Farm Equipment Operator / Mechanic
Location: Waterman, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday (Seasonal Position) Aug- Oct, may change
Pay: $15.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience
We are looking for a dependable and experienced Farm Equipment Operator / Mechanic to join our team for the season. The ideal candidate will have a strong farming background, be comfortable operating large agricultural equipment, and be willing to help with a variety of daily farm tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operate a tractor pulling a grain cart (grain wagon) during harvest.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and basic mechanical repairs.
- Perform general farm work and other duties as needed.
- Safely operate farm machinery and equipment.
- Help keep equipment and work areas clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Previous farm experience is required.
- Experience operating a tractor with a grain cart is strongly preferred.
- Experience driving a semi-truck is a plus and will be considered.
- Mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair farm equipment are preferred.
- Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.
- Ability to perform physical work and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
