Job Description
We are seeking a dependable Cable Production Line Operator This is a hands-on, physical position working on a copper chop line. The operator will feed electrical cable into a machine that chops and strips the plastic insulation from the wire. Once processed, the operator will separate the copper wire from the plastic material and place each into designated piles for recycling.
This is a dirty, industrial work environment, and candidates should be comfortable working around dust, debris, and machinery.
Responsibilities
- Feed cable into the copper chopping machine.
- Monitor the machine during operation.
- Separate copper wire from plastic insulation after processing.
- Sort materials into designated containers or piles.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures.
- Assist with other production duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous production, manufacturing, or warehouse experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a dirty, industrial environment.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
