3rd Shift Magnetic Particle Inspector
Schedule: 6:30 PM – 5:00 AM
Pay: $24.00/hour
A growing manufacturing facility in the DeKalb area is seeking a Magnetic Particle Inspector to join their 3rd shift team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced production environment alongside experienced operators and skilled trades professionals. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
This role includes hands-on training, with opportunities to develop new skills and advance within the organization. Employees contribute directly to production goals and overall operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform magnetic particle inspections on parts and materials
- Load and unload various production machines, including lathes and other equipment
- Operate shot blasting equipment and hand grinders
- Assist with general warehouse tasks, including moving and organizing materials
- Support shipping and receiving functions as needed
- Clean machinery, tools, and dies to maintain production standards
- Perform part marking processes such as dot peening
- Complete additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous forklift experience preferred.
- Experience working with steel or in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Ability to lift 20+ lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
