Machine Mechanic (3-Tier Program)
Location: Kirkland, IL
Position: Machine Mechanic
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Position Summary
We are seeking skilled and motivated Machine Mechanics to join our maintenance team in Kirkland, IL. Candidates will be placed into one of three mechanic tiers based on their experience, technical ability, and qualifications. Mechanics are responsible for maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met.
Tier 1 – Lead Mechanic
Pay: $27.51–$37.20/hour
Qualifications
- Repairs all equipment to manufacturer specifications.
- Performs inspections and repairs independently.
- Leads maintenance projects.
- Serves as a lead mechanic and mentors newer employees.
- Strong understanding of production equipment and maintenance processes.

Tier 2 – Intermediate Mechanic
Pay: $23.51–$27.50/hour
Qualifications

- Assists with maintenance projects.
- General understanding of company equipment.
- Performs inspections and repairs with some assistance.
- Continues developing toward independent troubleshooting.

Tier 3 – Entry-Level Mechanic
Pay: $20.00–$23.50/hour
Qualifications
- Performs preventative maintenance and basic mechanical repairs.
- Conducts equipment inspections.

- Continues developing mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Assists in maintaining a clean and organized maintenance shop.
