Job Full Description
A local company in Bloomington is seeking a dependable and experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join their team. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting daily production operations in a manufacturing environment.
Job Summary
- Repair and maintain industrial equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Perform MIG and Stick Welding as needed
- Complete building repairs and general facility maintenance
- Conduct machine setup and adjustments
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery
- Troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime
- Utilize various hand tools and maintenance equipment safely and effectively
- Assist with additional duties as assigned
Experience Required
- Minimum of 1 year of industrial maintenance experience
- Experience working on machinery and production equipment
- Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and repair skills
- Welding experience preferred (MIG and Stick)
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive mindset with strong communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Full body mobility to maneuver around and work with machinery
- Comfortable using various hand tools
- High School Diploma or GED required
